Well, the problem is not on the 60th line, as far as I can tell. Recently added addresses are the ones missing, and they are scattered throughout the file. The host provides a web-based file editing front-end, which has worked fine so far. Yes, I'm using Windoze to access the site and the web-edit interface loads in a windoze browser. The first line of the file is the digest list address. The line about the "Only Addresses.." is not there. This is a newsletter list, so I don't know if that has any impact on this. Should I add it? I've never edited the accept file on my system directly, only via the web interface, so I'm not sure if it handles the CR LF issues or not. Any other ideas
At 2:39 PM -0500 3/6/01, segura@attcanada.ca is rumored to have typed:
I have a mailing list that contains 78 addresses on it.
If I edit the accept file directly, I can see all the names.
But, if I send an Xcommand to mail me the addresses on it, I only get 59 names back.
People have been complaining that they are not getting the mail.
How can I fix this?
You obviously have a problem on the 60th line (actually probably the 61st), although what it might be we could have no idea based on your description. I assume you have the "(Only Addresses" line as the first line of your file, and I assume you'bve been careful when editing the accept file on your Windoze box to make sure there aren't <CR><LF> pairs terminating the lines...
