I am using SmartList provided by my hosting service. I want to allow people to subscribe/unsubscribe, but I want to be the only one to be able to send mail to the lits. I am in no way programming oriented though and am having problems. When I first set up the list, it was set (through a web interface) as "newsletter." My first mailing went out the day Nimda hit and several thousand people on the list got a virus via my mail (the virus didn't originate with me), which kept sending and re-sending to everyone. It was a nightmare. I then set the list to "moderated," but now it doesn't appear that all names are recording to the list, and I know that unsubscribes are not working. Plus, I get hundreds of subscribe e-mails in my mailbox each day that I don't want to see. I've read the documentation, but I'm still confused. Finally, I need to keep editing the dist file to add lists that other departments send me -- what does everyone use to do this? Can anyone, please, oh please, help me out? Janice
