I have been through the FAQs and Manual in an attempt to solve my digest problem. When I uncomment "foreign_submit" in rc.custom it breaks the ability for my subscribers on the digest version to originate submissions. The indication is that they are NOT on the accept list. Does this mean that I have to unlink dist and accept on the non-digest side. I want to restrict submissions to only subscribers.
Thanks, Harlan Olson
I run one like this. My main list has an 'accept/dist' list (hardlinked) and an 'accept2' which is hardlinked to the digested list's 'dist' file. The digest only accepts posts from 'mainlist@mydomain.com' and distributes to the people in 'dist'. In the digest's rc.custom file, I set 'undigested_list =' to point to the main list. So anyone replying to the digest goes to the main list, and that distributes to both the main and digested versions.
