Well, I found out the reason (to reply to myself and to put it as a record) -- the list dist file was missing the line: "(Only addresses below this line can be automatically removed)" Line added and "problem" solved. Thanks to whoever attempted to put any thoughts on this (there was no replies; perhaps too hard ;-) BTW, does anyone have a flow chart made for Smartlist? :) Have a nice weekend! I am working on a list that users have difficulties to unsub. The relevant rc.custom configuration is as follows:
match_threshold = 30730 medium_threshold = 28672 loose_threshold = 24476
auto_off_threshold = $medium_threshold off_threshold = $loose_threshold
auto_unsubscribe = yes unsub_assist = 3
However, the list ALWAYS replies to an unsub request as saying "You have not been removed, I couldn't find your name on the list" ALTHOUGH the multigram matches returned shows the exact email address. Specific unsub request as instructed by the list: "unsubscribe real@address" (address given by the SmartList) got the same results.
Anywhere else obvious that I have missed to look at?
Thanks!
Zhiliang
PS: I have another list, with the same version (v3.11pre7) that works fine in this regards. I tried to get related settings identical but I must have missed some point ...
