Zu Ihrer Information sende ich Ihnen die Kopie einer Mail von "turnitin.com", einer der führenden Firmen auf dem Gebiet der Anti-Plagiats-Software. Es sieht wohl so aus, als würde der RWTH (d.h. jedem ihrer Mitarbeiter) ab Ende Januar eine kostenlose Testversion zur Verfügung stehen. Ich habe in meiner Antwort darum gebeten, weiter auf dem Laufenden gehalten zu werden. Dear Dr. Strasen,

A couple of years ago, you showed interest in our Plagiarism Prevention Software, Turnitin. I don't know if this is something that is still an issue in the University, but I am contacting you about a new pillot scheme we are offering to a number of different Universities, Aachen included.

Basically, beginning at the end of January we will be offering the university access to Turnitin across the whole campus, free of charge for the rest of this academic year.

Is this something that you would be keen to take advantage of? It obviously helps us if there is someone at the university who is at least aware of Turnitin and what it can do.

I look forward to your reply and will be able to give you further details on this very soon.
