Liebe Studierende und Beschäftigte an der RWTH Aachen,

der Krisenstab möchte aus aktuellem Anlass auf Regelungen und Entwicklungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Coronavirus aufmerksam machen:

• Das Land NRW hat für den Monat Dezember die stringenten Regelungen in der Coronaschutzverordnung fortgeschrieben. Es besteht eine grundsätzliche Maskenpflicht in den Räumen der RWTH. Die Maske darf von Beschäftigten nur abgelegt werden, sofern Sie an Ihrem Arbeitsplatz sitzen und die Einhaltung des Mindestabstands jederzeit gewahrt bleibt. Die Maskenpflicht in Lehr- und Prüfungsveranstaltungen bleibt weiterhin bestehen.
• Die Regelungen der Coronaeinreiseverordnung sind auf Grund eines Urteils des Oberverwaltungsgerichts NRW entfallen. Nähere Hinweise (für Pendler, Reisende usw.) finden Sie im aktuellen Blogbeitrag unter: https://blog.rwth-aachen.de/corona/2020/12/07/aktualisierte-regelungen-zur-reiserueckkehr-2/
• Das Land hat eine Quarantäneverordnung veröffentlicht. Diese adressiert u.a. Personen, die getestet wurden und auf die Bekanntgabe des Testergebnisses warten. Der Krisenstab hatte Ende Oktober die Lockerung einiger Maßnahmen (u. a. die Öffnung von Lernräumen sowie die Durchführung von öffentlichen Veranstaltungen) bei einem nachhaltigen Unterschreiten der Inzidenz von 150 in Aussicht gestellt. Zwischenzeitlich hat sich jedoch das allgemeine Infektionsgeschehen NRW-weit so geändert, dass die o.g. Verschärfungen in der Coronaschutzverordnung solchen Öffnungen aktuell entgegenstehen. Der Krisenstab ist jedoch weiterhin bestrebt, im neuen Jahr die Lernräume noch vor Beginn der Klausurphase unter geeigneten Rahmenbedingungen zu öffnen. Weitere Informationen hierzu werden folgen.

Der Krisenstab bittet nochmals alle Mitglieder der RWTH, im dienstlichen und privaten Kontext durch aktives Handeln die Maßnahmen der Landesregierung zu unterstützen und damit zur Verlangsamung der Ausbreitung des Coronavirus beizutragen. Vielen Dank für Ihr Engagement!

Dear students and employees of RWTH,

On behalf of the Crisis Management Team, I would like to draw your attention to the current regulations and developments related to the coronavirus pandemic.

• The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has updated the strict regulations in the Coronaschutzverordnung (Coronavirus Protection Ordinance – CoronaSchVO) for the month of December. In principle, individuals are obligated to wear a mask when in a room or on the premises of RWTH. Employees may only remove their masks when seated at their workplace and certain they can maintain the applicable minimum distance at all times. The obligation to wear a mask in teaching and exam sessions continues to apply.
• The regulations of the Corona Einreiseverordnung (Coronavirus Entry Ordinance) no longer apply following a verdict from the Higher Administrative Court of North Rhine-Westphalia. • In addition, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has published a Quarantine Ordinance, which addresses individuals who have been tested and are waiting for their test result, among others. At the end of October, the Crisis Management Team stated that some regulations would be eased (including the opening of study spaces and holding events for the public) if the rate of infection fell below 150 per 100,000 inhabitants for a sustained period of time. In the meantime, however, the general occurrence of infections throughout the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has changed in such a way that the stricter regulations in the Corona Protection Ordinance mentioned above currently stand in the way of easing such measures. However, the Crisis Management Team is still endeavoring to open study spaces under appropriate conditions in the new year, before the exam period starts. Further information on this will follow shortly.

The Crisis Management Team once again asks all members of the RWTH community to actively support the state government's measures both at work and in their private lives and thus contribute to slowing down the spread of the coronavirus.
