My congratulations to Otto for his election. I would like also to show my
appreciation for Ramon's candidature, which has got a significant number of
votes too.

Still during this week I will inform the IFIP President of the results and
will request that he proceeds with the formal nomination of Otto Spaniol
according to the rules.

As you know I will assure the TC6 chairmanship until the end of the year
and I intend to pass all the documents and files to Otto immediately after
the New Year so that he can start his work from the beginning of January.
