Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP: ICCCN New Track: Computer Architecture for Networking and Communications ICCCN 2007: 16TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKS http://sa1.sice.umkc.edu/icccn2007 <http://sa1.sice.umkc.edu/icccn2007> August 13 - 16, 2007 Turtle Bay Resort, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Sponsors*: Technical Co-Sponsorship by IEEE TCCC and Nokia (*pending approval) The rapid increase in network line speeds and the expanding functional requirements in modern communication networks call for innovative designs and technologies that provide sustained high-throughput with greater flexibility and short time-to-market. New components such as network processors, hardware accelerators, reconfigurable logic, content addressable memories offer potential solutions, but also raise new challenges. The computer architecture for networking and communication (CANC) track provides a forum for sharing advanced academic and industrial research work focused on emerging technologies that address these challenges. Authors are invited to submit original and previously unpublished work on architectural support for advanced communication, novel designs for new network algorithms, protocols and applications; software development for next-generation networking architectures; methodology and benchmarking for evaluating advanced communication architectures. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: * Network/communication processors * Application development and compilation on network/communication processors * Processor/thread scheduling * Link scheduling, switch scheduling * Co-processors acceleration * Router architectures * Switch fabrics/interconnection networks * Memory hierarchy in network architectures * Secure communication * Content inspection and filtering * Traffic characterization * Packet classification * Tools, simulators and benchmarks * Energy-efficient designs Submission of Manuscripts: Please follow the general submission requirements of ICCCN07. Important dates: Paper submission: March 1, 2007 Notification of acceptance: May 11, 2007 Camera ready papers due: June 1, 2007 Track Chair: Jun Yang University of Pittsburgh junyang@ece.pitt.edu Technical Program Committee Members: Pavan Balaji Argonne National Laboratory Kabekode Bhat Pennsylvania State University Hao Che University of Texas at Arlington Rolf Clauberg IBM Research Alex Doboli SUNY Stony Brook Minyi Guo Shanghai Jiaotong University Cheng Li Memorial University Gyungho Lee University of Illinois at Chicago Yan Luo University of Massachusetts Lowell Greg Regnier Intel Tilman Wolf University of Massachusetts Amherst Ki Hwan Yum University of Texas at San Antonio Chuanjun Zhang University of Missouri-Kansas City Youtao Zhang University of Pittsburgh Li Zhao Intel
