Upcoming RDM II workshops: Coscine + metadata + automated workflows
Dear Data Stewards, dear RDM managers, in November we will again be offering our RDM II workshops related to Coscine: 06.11.2024 | 10:00 - 12:00 | online | RDM platform Coscine - more than free quota! Learn about the FDM platform Coscine with all its features. Understand how Coscine supports you in making research data FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) and in meeting the expectations of research funders. 20.11.2024 | 10:00 - 12:00 | online | Metadata Basics and Creating Application Profiles for Coscine Meaningful and machine-readable metadata are a prerequisite for high-quality and sustainable research data that can be used effectively in line with FAIR principles. Besides the basic concepts of metadata management with Coscine, you will learn in this module how to adapt existing application profiles or create your own ones with the help of the Metadata Profile Generator in Coscine. 27.11.2024 | 9:00 - 13:00 | on-site | Automating (Meta)Data Transfer to Coscine This module is about the effective use of Coscine through an automated (meta)data transfer. You will learn to use the Coscine Python SDK to create your own scripts to automate your data workflows, enabling you to transfer data and metadata from a local computer or server to Coscine. Basic experience with the programming language Python is required. The detailed course descriptions and registration options can be found in the event database: https://www.rwth-aachen.de/go/id/ebog/?search=&themengebiet=Forschungsdatenmanagement .
