Dear RDM community @ RWTH,

We are pleased to invite you to our first Practice Special of our RDM network meetings, which takes place on Thursday, May 22 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on-site at the University Library, Room 509 (conference room, 5th floor, Templergraben 61).

Agenda:

• Project presentations
• Discussions, possibly round tables on topics
• Lunch together (at your own expense)

The Practice Specials focus on current RDM tasks and personal exchange. A key focus of the first meeting is to contribute initial content to our new information platform (wiki in the intranet project room) [1], which is still under construction.

Therefore, please prepare slides for the 'Project Presentation' covering the following topics:

1. Project Description: A brief description of the project and the disciplines involved. If available, please include a link to the project website.
2. Current focus of work: List and briefly describe the current focus of RDM-related work.
3. Project results: Which results from an RDM perspective might be relevant or useful to others at RWTH? Whenever possible, please make them accessible.
4. Publications: List all RDM-related publications produced within the project.

If several of you are working on the same project, a joint presentation is of course possible. The time available for each presentation will depend on the number of projects being presented.

Important:

• The Practice Specials replace our former Data Steward JF  – therefore, participation is mandatory for all Data Stewards and the RDM team. If you are unable to attend, please inform me in advance so we can find a suitable way to ensure the information flow.
• We also welcome contributions from all active members of the RDM network who would like to present their work and help shape the new intranet project areas.
• Until 20 May 2025, you can also send me suggestions for topics you would like to discuss in the network.

Please register for participation by Tuesday, May 20, using the usual Zoom registration link [2] – even though the event will take place on-site. We keep using this registration system for organizational reasons. Please don’t be confused by this!
