Dear Colleagues,

The Chair for Computational Analysis of Technical Systems (CATS) will host a new conference series – Applied Quantum Methods in Computational Science and Engineering (AQMCSE) – as we sense that the CSE community is showing more and more interest in quantum computing as a future technology to solve computational problems more efficiently. AQMCSE will be different from other conferences on quantum computing as we specifically aim to bring together the academia, quantum industry and early end-users to discuss applied quantum methods that target real-world applications from the fields of computational fluid dynamics and structural analysis, optimization, material science, scientific machine learning, cryptography, and others. The initiative has generated significant interest and is supported by the European Community for Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS), which has designated it an ECCOMAS Thematic Conference.

In the name of the organizers, Norbert Hosters, Matthias Möller, and Marcin Dukalski, we would like to invite you to contribute with a presentation or poster during the 1st edition of AQMCSE to be held October 8-10, 2025 in Aachen, Germany. Abstracts can be submitted until May 15.

The success of AQMCSE lies in the diversity and breadth of perspectives brought by participants like you.
