Around the contest the Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo wants to create a forum of discussion and exchanges, a large space for meetings and debate, a Euro Mediterranean open place. The www.euromedcafe.org site is in four languages: Arabic, English, French and Italian and intends to give the word to civil society, to internauts, to authors, so that they can present us their truth, their viewpoint and thus make the intercultural dialogue between the two strands of the Mediterranean evolve. Why a contest and why through the Net? The cinema of proximity as the cinema through the Net could be considered, is an incomparable instrument to overcome misunderstandings and reinforce tolerance between people.
