A special screening of Jinnah, starring world-renowned actor Christopher Lee, is being held on May 19, at 8:00 p.m., in Riviera 6. Lee, also currently starring in Star Wars 2 and Lord of the Rings, takes the lead in this timely film about the controversial, violent partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. The film is all the more timely in light of this past year's events. Hauntingly, Jinnah died on Sept. 11, 1948. Jinnah was to Pakistan what Ghandi was to India, and Lee's portrayal of Jinnah is on par with Ben Kingsley's portrayal of Ghandi in David Lean's film. Lee considers it the most important role of his career.
