She is clearly in a more confused state than he is and out of natural instincts he leaps forward to save her. They have both undermined each other's intentions of suicide and so they just sit on the rooftop. Oak and Gogo agree that if they had the courage to kill themselves, they should have the courage to do something bigger. The moment they met each other, they gained back their "lives."
