Also on the train are Sandra and Sven, her desperately ill son, who is going to Lourdes in hope of a miracle cure for his deadly blood disease. Lasko befriends them when they are separated from the boy's father by the abrupt departure of the train, and they join Lasko and his two priest friends, Gladius and Matthias, in their compartment. A controlling and hateful man, Valdemar, is a bane to everyone around him, but a perfect subject to Dr. Pretory (Jason Carter) to experiment with mesmerism. Aided by Dr. Hoffler’s (George Wyner) prediction of the approximate time of death, Pretory believes he can put Valdemar’s mind in a hypnotic trance when the end nears and make it continue to function up until the moment of passing. He hopes to obtain an objective, firsthand description of death and the afterlife, believing Valdemar is hardened enough to avoid coloring his description as other people would. With the help of Benjamin, Daisy and Valdemar’s oversexed maid Consuela (Jo Champa), the doctors succeed in Mesmerizing Valdemar and get a step-to-step account of death. But before the quick questions are answered, Valdemar demands to speak with Benjamin to make a few final threats. His mind spoke, Valdemar promptly dies, leaving the stunned group to relax for the night and absorb what has happened. But Valdemar isn’t finished. Sid Sheinberg’s The Bubble Factory has entered into an agreement with George Shamieh’s American Cinema International to license the international rights to the film “Bad Girls from Valley High”. The film is based on the best selling book “A Fate Totally Worse Than Death” written by the well-known author of Children’s and Young Teen books, Paul Fleischman. The film, which is being distributed in North America by Universal, was made for 8 million dollars. Starring: Julie Benz – Darla on the WB’s popular “Angel”,“Taken” for SCI-FI Channel.
