2)THE SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL EXPO 2005 Summer
2005
An environmentally themed, competitive short film festival taking place
at the World’s Fair
in Japan next summer. Films must be under 25 minutes in
length and Japanese premieres.
There are no year of production requirements
and NO ENTRY FEES! Deadline is Dec 31st
Several filmmakers will be
selected to receive sponsored travel to Japan in June.

3) THE INAUGURAL DUBAI FILM FESTIVAL December 6-11,
2004
This new international film festival will be hosted in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates
by Dubai Media City, the media free zone created by the
Government of Dubai in 2001.
The festival seeks to celebrate true excellence
in Arab cinema while screening films
which reflect Dubai’s cosmopolitan and
multi-cultural character. The festival will showcase
10 programs, featuring a
total of approximately 80 films.

5) ZLIN FEST FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH May 29 - June
4, 2005
ZLIN festival is the unique film and social event, one of the oldest,
largest and most important
events of its kind worldwide. Films compete in six
sections - film for children, for youth, animated film,
European debuts,
student films and films from Visegrad countries.
The project is supported by
the Czech Parliament and Ministry of Culture,
the EU Media Programme and the
International Visegrad Fund. Festival is held under the auspices
the Czech
UNESCO Commission and the Czech UNICEF Commission.
