In the following we are forwarding you the information for an additional mentoring possibility from the RWTH International Academy:
The RWTH International Academy organizes Summer Schools for students from all around the world in cooperation with the International Office and Institutes of RWTH Aachen University each year. This summer the Summer Schools will be taking place in Aachen again!
Therefore, we are looking for Mentors who would like to join our July/ August/ September Summer Schools.
Dates
* 04.07. - 22.07.2022 - "Robotics, Communication Networks and Innovation" Summer School
* 11.07. - 29.07.2022 - "Automation and Simulation" Summer School
* 22.08. - 09.09.2022 - "German Engineering, Language and Culture" Summer School - the Summer School participants are students from a Japanese partner university, therefore becoming a mentor would be particularly appealing to those, who are interested in Japan.
Additional Summer Schools in August will be announced soon and will be visible in the registration form.
Responsibilities
We would like to provide the international students of each Summer School with Mentors from RWTH and FH, who support them during their stay at RWTH Aachen University.
All Mentors are welcome to take part in the social program of the Summer Schools. Activities usually include: a barbeque, a karaoke night, a hiking tour much more fun events. You can find more details on our website.<https://www.academy.rwth-aachen.de/en/programs/short-courses/mentoring-prog…>
At the end of the Summer School RWTH International Academy will award all Mentors an official participation certificate for their efforts and support.
Furthermore, your commitment as Mentors can be recognized as a component for the certificate "Zertifikat-Internationales" (Certificate International): www.rwth-aachen.de/zi<http://www.rwth-aachen.de/zi>.

Registration
To register for the Mentoring Program this Summer you can use our online registration form<https://forms.academy-rwth.de/short-term-programs/mentoring-program/>. It is also possible to become a mentor for more than one Summer School.
Please note the registration deadline.
You can register until June 1st for the Summer Schools taking place in July and until June 15th for all programs in August and September.
Preparation
During the Mentoring Workshops, we present the weekly schedules of the Summer Schools, have an intercultural training and talk about the Mentors' responsibilities.
The Mentoring Workshop will be held for all July Summer Schools on June 14th from 1 - 4 pm and the workshop for all August and September Summer Schools will be held on June 28th from 1 - 4 pm.
Please note that attendance at the workshop is mandatory.
