Dear Herr Beschoten,
A while back you visited the Hinds
Instruments website and requested information on Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect
measurements. I am writing to inform you of some new information that we
have on our website describing MOKE measurements with photo-elastic modulators
(PEMs) and to invite you to look at this information by clicking
here: http://www.hindsinstruments.com/PEM_Components/Applications/MAGNETO-OPTICALKERREFFECT.ASPX
We also have a new application note that
can be found here: http://www.hindsinstruments.com/media/MOKE%20Application%20Note.pdf
PEMs are fixed frequency, resonance based
polarization modulators. Because they operate at the resonance frequency
of the optic, PEMs produce stable, pure modulation that, when incorporated into
an instrument, can have a polarization sensitivity of 10-6.
PEMs have several other unique features
including:
* A wide
spectral range
* No moving
parts
* A large
acceptance angle
* A large
aperture
Hinds Instruments is committed
to properly supporting the researchers and scientists who use our
products. We will do everything possible to insure your success when employing
Hinds instrumentation. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can
help you with your polarization application.
Best regards,
Amanda Bryan
